What is Syren?
Syren is an invite-only, voice-first AI companion app for adults 18 and older. The public website offers voice samples, a companion design preview, and an invitation request; conversations happen in the app after approval and age verification.
Can I speak instead of typing?
Yes. The app is designed for voice conversation, and typing is also available. Microphone audio is processed for transcription so the companion can respond. The clips on this website are pre-recorded samples, not live replies.
Can I listen before asking for access?
Yes. Ember and Cash each have three short, captioned samples on their profile pages. The custom companion preview offers existing feminine and masculine sample voices. No account is needed to hear them.
Can I create my own companion?
You can preview a design with a name, up to three traits, a sample voice choice, and an orb color on this website. It stays in your browser until you submit an invitation request. The preview does not create an active app companion.
What does private mean for Syren?
You can review and remove saved memories in the app and use the in-app account deletion feature. Voice input and relevant conversation context may be processed by service providers. Logs, backups, earlier conversation text, and provider records can have different retention. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Does deleting a memory erase every copy?
No. It removes that memory from Syren’s active memory system. The same information may still appear in earlier conversation text, logs, backups, or systems of service providers. Account deletion has separate limits described in the Privacy Policy.
Who can use Syren?
Syren is for adults 18 and older. A beta invitation and an approved account are required, and age verification takes place before anyone can chat. Requesting an invitation does not guarantee when access will be granted.
Is Syren a therapist or emergency service?
No. Syren is a conversational AI product, not a therapist, healthcare provider, or crisis service. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; for emotional crisis support, use an appropriate local crisis resource.
How do I ask about my data or invitation?
